Age of Conan (PC)

Server: Thog

Guild: Aardwolf Crusaders

Characters:

Hamilcar, Level 46 Aquilonian Guardian —

Anarchy Online (PC)

"Ao was a great game that kept me interested in more than just leveling for a number of years. I was privledged to be a year long member of the customer support team, and also play as an OLTC (one of those strange characters with a green name)."

Guild: Omni-Pol

Characters:

BoneFlower, Level 150 Solitus Adventurer — This was my Advisors of Rubi-Ka (ARK) character. If you were ever helped (or maybe hurt, but I was a pretty nice advisor) by Sage Boneflower that was me. Character happened to be Female on Server 1 and Male on Server 2.

Docshadow, Level 110 Solitus Adventurer — My first and longest running character for AO. She literally became the Doc 'shadow' in groups by providing secondary heals in a pinch.

Vectorhack, Level 90 Solitus Fixer —

City of Heroes (PC)

"A fun game. Listed as 'I play sometimes' because I would willingly pick it back up for a couple of months. The lack of loot was very refreshing, also the true ability to customize your appearance and sacrifice nothing."

City of Villains (PC)

"Like CoH, I don't actively play, but I would pick it back up if I had a reason (like friends starting up on it again). I enjoyed CoV more than CoH mainly because the features were better integrated and interesting from the launch of this expansion. "

Eve Online (PC)

"I started in beta, was turned off by some things that just did not seem complete, then returned just after 'Second Genesis.' Now back in the next major update and enjoying it again."

Guild: Bessemer Industries

Characters:

Cymorril, Gallente Fighter — Fighter/Miner Hybrid build. Piloting skills up through Gal BS, AF, and she was most of the way to piloting HAC.

Final Fantasy XI Online (PC)

"My friend Josh got me into this game, despite that I mostly played with one of my cousins in her guild. It was a fun game, but the frustratingly long times to form an effective group and the rather harsh death penalty drove me away over time."

Matrix Online (PC)

"A game I followed through beta and the first year after launch. (I really wish I remembered the years these games came out better). It was an interesting concept that just failed to achieve what it attempted. It seems like the combat ideas were to"

Tabula Rasa (PC)

"It's an interesting game. I was in beta for quite some time (although I become inactive in beta due to a change of country). Now being back in it is a good overall experience. My number one complaint is that the action and involvement in the story"

Guild: 42nd IS

Ultima Online (PC)

"I played from launch day until I finally lost interest in the constant expansion push once I started college. I was heavy into the roleplaying community, and also managed to push more than one server to almost full sets of maxed characters."

Server: Atlantic/Pacific

Guild: Aardwold Crusaders

Characters:

Shadow, — Amazing the creativity you have a for a character name at 14... Shadow started life as a blacksmith and developed into to grandmaster swordsman over time. This character served me well for many years and wore a signature golden plate helm for much of this life.

Venom, —

World of Warcraft (PC-MAC)

"I was one of those on-again off-again players. It was a good game, but just not nearly enough to keep me consistently playing."

Q. In real life, are you male or female? (Answer!)
A. Male

Q. If you could meet any game developer, who would it be? (Answer!)
A. I would meet Lord British (Richard Garriot). Being the creator of both the original Ultima series (That began stealing my time at game 7) but the original MMO that stole countless hours from my life.

Q. What are your favorite tabletop (RPG, board, miniatures, etc.) games? (Answer!)
A. I was a long time White Wolf player (Mostly werewolf).

Q. What do you love or hate about PVP? (Answer!)
A. Love: The challenge. Having to adapt to real skill is always fun. My most extensive PvP experience comes from AO. I had a number of opportunities to whack characters higher than my level defending towers and also get whacked by lower level players. And that was the fun, discovering the high level players that you could beat with strategy and then having their lower level friend own you by the same method. Hate: Ganking. Lamers. You know, the standard complaints that make me avoid PvP servers for the most part.

Q. What are your thoughts on player-made mods/addons for games? (Answer!)
A. Often times they are great. I remember the first tool that came out to enhance UO. Alerting you to skill changes, numbers of reagents, all sorts of useful things that really did add to the experience. Some of the WoW interface mods I played with also kept the same level of quality.

Q. What do your characters and avatars usually look like? (Answer!)
A. I tend to make an even split of male and female characters. I figure I have to stare at it for hours on end... Might as well look good.

Q. Ninjas or pirates? (Answer!)
A. Ninjas
